The art faculty at Gainesville State College will award 10 scholarships this semester based on academic excellence and artistic achievement. The scholarships are as follows: 

The Artistic Excellence Scholarshipis awarded to 10 individuals who exhibit strong artistic growth and potential. Each scholarship is in the amount of $300.

The Outstanding Achievement in Art Scholarship is awarded to two students exhibiting outstanding artistic abilities and scholastic performance. This scholarship is in the amount of $500. 

The President’s Award is a non-monetary honor granted to a single artwork. Each semester, an exceptional 2-D work by a GSC student is chosen to be professionally framed and exhibited in the President’s office conference room. The chosen artwork will be on loan to the college for one year (pieces can be up to 36” in any direction and some wall-mountable 3-D works will be considered).

The Chestatee Reviewis a non-monetary literary publication featuring selected writings and artwork of GSC students.
