The goals of the Dean of Students Office, as well as all of the Offices with whom I work, are designed to support students in their academic and life endeavors. Read on to find out what we do!
Associate Vice President for Student Affairs & Dean of Students
- Focus on initiatives that support the development of the whole student
- Directly supervises Dean of Students Areas on Gainesville Campus
- Counseling and Career Services
- Disability Services
- Diversity Initiatives and Intercultural Relations
- Student Life
- Oversee Code of Conduct processes and education
- Facilitate Family Orientation on the Gainesville Campus and other programs for families
- Respond to general student issues and concerns and advocate for students (help students navigate the college)
- Solicit and respond to student issues and concerns
- Coordinate assessment for the Division of Student Affairs
- Assist with response to student emergencies or concerns (CARE Team)
- Co-advise President’s Leadership Scholarship Program students
- Coordinate Student Health Insurance program
- New in Fall 2008 – Coordinate Leadership Conference for GSC Student Leaders
