Advancement ServicesProvides the behind-the-scenes support needed for special events, community outreach, stewardship and fundraising.  The Advancement Office raises funds through grants, fitness center memberships, an annual fund drive and the faculty/staff campaign.

Alumni Affairs The primary objectives are to maintain contact with alumni and to encourage their continuing support of the College.  The annual Alumni Starlight concert and fireworks show and golf outing events are very popular, and the proceeds benefit scholarships.  The quarterly newsletter, Anchors Away, provides updates on alumni and College events.

Public Relations and Marketing — It is the mission of the GSC Office of  Public Relations and Marketing to provide accurate and timely information to the college community and the greater Northeast Georgia community as well as to market the College and its programs and events effectively and in a cost efficient manner.

Foundation — It is the mission of the GSC Foundation to promote access to quality higher education for deserving students and to enhance the excellence of the College’s educational programs.

The Foundation provides:

  • Student scholarships, including merit, need-based, study-abroad and faculty/staff dependent scholarships.
  • Book scholarships for faculty and staff that are continuing their education.
  • Funding for awards such as Best Practices, Advisor of the Year, Outstanding Faculty, Outstanding Adjunct and Innovative Teaching awards.
  • Funding for incentives given during Professional Development Week.
  • Faculty/Staff development through funding events such as the welcome breakfast, new employee orientations and receptions, campus picnics, departmental retreats and workshops.
  • Student encouragement through the funding of Outstanding Student awards and events such as Open Houses, Honors Day reception, Financial Aid Fair, Student Teaching orientations and receptions, and caps and gowns for graduation.
